"Hoe, your in the band!" "Why yes little monsters," which is all i could think of when he asked me that. But all i really did was nod and say yes. Many may already know that i'm in the band here at Kahuku High School. Whenever the band heads out to the stands, it's a struggle because you're attacked by little kids that constantly try to hit the percussion instruments. Well, anyways, they stare at us as if we dont see them playing the drum, let alone hear it. I ask them in my most polite manner to stop " hittin der drumm!," but that never works.
Now imagine if they had just a weebit of control when i tell them to stop. Then they'd be controlled proper kids- at least close to that. Parents should disipline their children so that they'll follow what is asked of them.
Also another thing that these kids love to do is hang out underneath the Kahuku bleachers. During the past years i've noticed that they've been doing more and more things without parental supervision. If someone were to get hurt then it would likely be the schools fault. And yet they're not supposed to be there.
For me it just doesnt make sense why parents are so "invested" into the game, that they put their children in second place.
That is so true, I see that all the time when there's football games. I think football games are a time when our parents get to see their friends who they haven't seen in a while because everyone goes to the football game. Eventually they get lost talking about the past and before you know it the kids are running all over the place or the oldest kid is watching the other kids. And trust me its not fun watching younger kids during a football game, its so hard to control them.
ReplyDeleteThis is kind of funny because I used to be one of these kids but my parents would always come get me later.
ReplyDeleteKIDS...WILL ALWAYS BE KIDS. and kids are roudy and loud and life to have fun. Being behaved isn't any fun:) i think we should let the kids enjoy their childhood:)..no offense to you bluemonkey:)

I agree! I feel like their parents should watch their kids more, instead of just watching the football game.
